HP Spectre features a 13.3-inch Full HD display, setting a new benchmark for thinnest 13-inch notebook

At just 10.4mm thickness, HP Spectre is slimmer than Asus’ Zenfone Max, which hits the scale at 10.6mm. HP Spectre features a 13.3-inch Full HD display, setting a new benchmark for thinnest 13-inch notebooks out there.

HP Spectre’s base model features 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. HP has used Intel’s sixth-gen Core processor, which is a rarity among laptops of this size. HP has managed to create a new heat dessipation system that pushes heat away from the processor and has added two more fans at the back to vent out the heat.

HP Spectre largely uses aluminium for its build but the bottom features carbon-fibre. HP has gone for piston hinge at the edge of the laptop, which folds flat to look like a hinge less design.

Like HP’s Elitebook Folio G1, the 13-inch Spectre also uses USB Type-C ports. The notebook comes with three USB-C ports as opposed to only one on Apple’s 12-inch Macbook.

For years, Apple’s Macbook Air was called benchmark for thin laptops. Macbook Air measures 17.2mm at its thickest point while the 12-inch Macbook comes in at 13.2mm. But, with Spectre, HP wants everyone to think otherwise.
