Kotla ODI between India and Pakistan was fixed says Paul Nixon

Team India’s sensational victory over Pakistan in the final ODI at Ferozshah Kotla has come under scanner after former England wicketkeeper Paul Nixon said that Pakistan lost the match deliberately.

Chasing a modest target, Pakistan crumbled against inexperienced Indian bowlers.

Nixon tweeted that Pakistani team was throwing the game away. He also hinted at Mohammad Hafeez’s role in the way he was playing lap sweep with a leg slip fielder in place.

“Pakistan throwing this game away eh! #thereisasurprise 24 from 24 … Strangely my money is on India $$$$ from here … Watch this space,” he tweeted.

Nixon also made it clear that with series already in the bag, it was quite straightforward for Pakistan to throw this game away..

“..not every game Dave just at the right time ..2-0 up perfect to loose nothing matters!!!!,” Nixon posted in reply to a question.

“..How much money did you get to throw this match? … 95% S/R!!!!,” he tweeted further.

Pakistan batting was casual throughout the match. Umar Akmal, for example, was stumped in a loose manner, giftig his wicket at a crucial juncture.

Last year also Nixon made a sensational revelation in his autobiography that he was offered $5 million from an Indian bookie to throw a English county T20 game.
