Ringing Bells to launch new devices, cheapest HD LED TV on July 7

Ringing Bells, which launched the world’s cheapest smartphone – Freedom 251 – is set to launch several new devices, including Freedom HD LED TV. The company has already sent out media invites for the same.

Ringing Bells is supposed to start deliveries for Freedom 251 from tomorrow, which was earlier slated for June 30.

Ringing Bells GM, Anmol Goel, in an interview to the Indianexpress.com earlier had said the company will be launching their cheapest LED TV within a week. The TV will cost less than Rs
10,000, he claims. Other devices in the pipeline include three feature phones – King, Boss and Raja – and two smartphones called Elegant and Elegance.

Also, Ringing Bells is supposed to start deliveries for Freedom 251 from tomorrow, which was earlier slated for June 30. The company received 7.5 crore registrations for the smartphone from across India. It will now hold a lucky draw to give away 2 lakh Freedom 251’s to 10,000 lucky winners from 19 states.

However, Anmol does not promise delivering 2 lakh units every month to complete the 7.5 crore orders. “We may deliver more units if we get help or we may not deliver at all in the upcoming months. We are only focusing on the giving away the devices now,” he says.

King and Boss come with a 2.4-inch TFT display, 2MP primary camera and support up to 32GB of expandable memory via microSD card. While the battery of King is 1,800mAh; Boss is backed by a 2,000mAh battery. The specifications of Raja is the same as King except that it sports a larger 2.8-inch TFT display.

King, Boss and Raja are priced at Rs 899, Rs 999 and Rs 1,099, respectively. Hit comes with a 1.8-inch display, 2MP primary camera, 1,250mAh battery and is priced at Rs 699. The company is offering 180 days of replacement warranty on the phones.
